When you imagine your vacation in Africa, the first thing that comes to your mind is incredible safaris. All this is true, there is no doubt. However, very few seek on this continent a holiday by the sea. Kilometers of fine white sand, transparent waters of such intense blue that it catches the eye and thousands of palm trees flooding the landscape with color. It might seem like an idyllic scene taken from some book of adventures and pirates that hide treasures thousands of meters underground, but it is no invention: it is real and can be found in Africa. The good thing is that when you are exhausted from the bustle there are several calm beaches to get away from the noise and rest.
Anse Soleil, Mahe, Seychelles
The stunning shades of the shoreline surface and the sea itself make Anse Soleil a genuinely beautiful prospect. Anse Soleil is a delightful, splendid straight with perfect brilliant sand and turquoise-blue water. Much obliged to some degree to its nearness to a few housing, Anse Soleil is moderately prominent among visitors, and there are more often than not no less than a couple of individuals here getting a charge out of the sand and the view. This is in no way, shape or form a terrible thing, be that as it may, and there is constantly enough space on the shoreline for everybody to locate their own little spot to appreciate. Anse Soleil is a really shocking little shoreline; not the most energizing shoreline in Seychelles but rather astounding as well.
Belle Mare, Mauritius
The truth is that, in general, Mauritius could be summarized in a myriad of paradisiacal beaches, lush vegetation and much, much, relaxation. However, not all parts of the island are equally exploited by tourism. With its silky white sand, its rows of tropical palm trees and its warm turquoise waters, Mauritius offers the perfect setting for a dream vacation. Although in addition to enjoying the scenery we also want to take advantage of our vacations to practice some outdoor sports, the calm climate of this part of the island makes snorkeling, kayaking and hiking essential activities.
Nungwi
It is true that each person has different interests and therefore it is possible that there are other beaches or areas that can offer you what you are looking for. But Nungwi is for many people who know Zanzibar, if not the best, one of the best beaches on the island. Before starting to shed the benefits of this area, we have to say that usually when we hear about Nungwi, we do it in reference to its beach, but really the name is given by the town of Nungwi, which is located in this northern area of Zanzibar.
Jeffrey’s Bay, South Africa
Although the cold waters of the South African coast may surprise more than one unwary tourist, Jeffrey’s Bay has become a mecca for surfers. Located on the Sunshine Coast or South African Coast of the Sun – shortly after completing the Garden Route -, Jeffrey’s Bay is known for its fantastic climate; its beaches frequently visited by dolphins and whales; and its great conditions for surfing. In fact, for some years Jeffrey’s Bay has hosted some of the most important surf competitions in the continent, such as the Billabong Pro Jeffrey’s Bay or the Corona Open J-Bay – both supported by the World Surf League.
